Under-Fire Figure At Liverpool Insists He Has Future At Club

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has insisted that he has a future at the club, according to a post on Twitter by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Liverpool are experiencing one of their worst seasons since Klopp joined the club – currently, the Reds are seventh in the Premier League table – but they’re also unbeaten in their last three league games.

In Romano’s tweet, Klopp said: “We have a future together, it is our decision how we deal with things. We have values, we have principles.

“We don’t want to be different as a club. We ARE different as a club. We have a future together”.

The Reds have endured some particularly poor results this season. In just the last month alone, Liverpool were beaten 3-0 by lowly Wolverhampton Wanderers and were given a 5-2 pasting at Anfield by Real Madrid.

In February, several audiences and fans were calling for Klopp’s sacking – pundit Ally McCoist dismissed these notions as ‘nonsense’.

Jurgen Klopp first joined Liverpool back in 2015, replacing previous manager Brendan Rodgers (who is now at Leicester City). Since then, he’s proven himself as one of the best managers in the club’s rich history – he’s won the Premier League, the Champions League, an FA Cup and a League Cup. Additionally, he’s also guided the club to three Champions League finals and one Europa League final.

This season, things aren’t going the way the indomitable German may have hoped. However, those criticising him would do well to remember his past successes – and that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Look at how Manchester United have struggled with managers yet alone Chelsea and Spurs since Pochettino left.
