There is no evidence of my client’s involvement in Mohbad’s death, according to Naira Marley’s lawyer

Olalekan Ojo, the lawyer for Afeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, has denied that his client was involved in the killing of Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

Mohbad died on September 12 under uncertain circumstances, prompting a succession of police inquiries and a coroner’s inquiry.

Naira Marley’s lawyer, appearing in a video conversation with social media celebrity Daddy Freeze, said there is no evidence that his client mistreated the late Mohbad.

He said, “As for Naira Marley, I believe very strongly that no matter how hard you look, you will not find a single incident where Naira Marley bullied him.”

Ojo said that the public misread what happened in a viral video in which infamous Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, commonly known as Sam Larry, tried to harass Mohbad but was stopped by Zlatan during a film shoot.

According to the lawyer, Larry, Mohbad, and Zlatan resolved their disagreement and ate “Amala together after the incident,” and that there is a lengthier version of the film that shows the trio together.

He recalled, “Sometimes in June 2023, he (Sam Larry) came to Elegushi beach and heard some musicians were shooting a musical video, so he wanted to see who they were. Remember that in that video, he said so it’s even you.
