The court returns a nurse and Mohbad’s friend to custody
Fisayo Ogedengbe, a 37-year-old auxiliary nurse apprehended by police in connection with the death of popular musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad, has been remanded in jail by the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba.
According to reports, the late singer died as a result of injections administered by the nurse.
Adeola Olatunbosun, the magistrate, also ordered that Mohbad’s companion, Ayobani Sadiq, who is also being held as a suspect in the case, be returned to police custody.
The court, on the other hand, granted bail in the sum of N20 million to Mohbad’s ex-boss, Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and a Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, who were both accused in Mohbad’s killing and brought into prison by the police on October 6th.
According to the magistrate,
“The defendants (Naira Marley and Sam Larry) are hereby granted bail in the sum of N20m with three responsible sureties in like sum pending the legal advice from the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution.
“Also, one of the sureties must own a landed property. As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.”
Olatunbosun also emphasised that no one should approach her about the subject directly.
“Any attempts to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings,” she added.
