The nurse who treated late Nigerian rapper Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad, before his death has been detained by the Lagos State Police Command.
According to reports, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo informed the State Police Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa, of this.
Iyabo Ojo made the announcement in a video posted on her Instagram page on Wednesday night, while updating fans on her visit to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police and the status of the police investigation into Mohbad’s death.
Police, she added, had also made additional arrests.
Ojo said, “The police have made some arrests [in connection with Mohbad’s death]. The nurse has been arrested. That I know. That’s the only information I can give you right now.
“They have arrested some people. They are asking some people to turn themselves in.”
In an interview, Mohbad’s father, James Aloba, stated that he suspects the auxiliary nurse who injected Mohbad before he died, emphasizing that the injection may have exacerbated his son’s condition.
