Ten Hag May Have Secret Weapon Up His Sleeve As United Hold ‘Extensive Talks’ About Signing £85M Rated P

Erik ten Hag’s agent has “quietly” taken on Manchester United transfer target Rasmus Hojlund as a client, according to the Manchester Evening News (MEN).

Kees Vos, head of the SEG International agency, is said to have become the Danish international’s representative back in May, and he could play a role in facilitating the striker’s move to Old Trafford this summer.

Hojlund is known to be a top priority for United’s recruitment team and MEN claim that sporting director John Murtough has already had “extensive talks” with Atalanta about signing the player.

Despite reports from Italy stating that the Red Devils have already tabled a number of bids for the 20-year-old, it is believed that no formal offer has been proposed yet.

There have been suggestions that Atalanta could hold out for as much as €100m (£85m) to sell Hojlund, although many believe his actual price tag is closer to €60m (£51m).

Having ten Hag’s agent involved does not guarantee that Hojlund will move to United

It should be noted that Vos also represents Cody Gakpo and, while the Red Devils were interested in signing the Dutchman, he ultimately ended up moving to Liverpool during the January transfer window.

Even so, you would think that the agent’s involvement could help with getting a deal done quicker, particularly in regards to personal terms.

Hojlund is very keen on a transfer to Old Trafford

Getting the approval of the player is not expected to be a problem. When news first emerged about United’s interest in the Dane earlier this year, he revealed that he was a Red Devils fan.

Hojlund didn’t say he would rule out a move to another team if he was presented with an offer but the forward has made it very clear that his preference would be a switch to Manchester.
