Should We Say Arsenal Won Chelsea By Fluke After The Repeat Of Such Against Manchester United

We have seen Arsenal becoming a team that is so unpredictable that they can lose to any team and win against any team just as what happened the last week seeing them beating Chelsea 2-4 and also beating Manchester United 3-1.

Should We Say Arsenal Won Chelsea By Fluke After The Repeat Of Such Against Manchester United

Let us look at what happened in their win against the European Champion, which was unbelievable. The match was at the Stanford Bridge and the gunner went there, having lost three of their last matches to Crystal Palace, Brighton Albion, and Southampton respectfully.

One will surely not give anything to Arsenal coming into that game because of how they have lost their previous matches.

But it can be assumed that Arsenal was probably underrated by Chelsea and it backfired seriously as the Gunners started giving it to them badly.

Eddie Nketia was the first to get the ball into the back of the net in the 13th minute with a good run through the Chelsea defense and he slated the ball into the net perfectly.

You know as one would have thought ordinarily that it was just one of the flukes that happen in the game of football, just four minutes later, Timo Werner was assisted by Ruben Loftus-Cheek when he got the equalizer in the 17th minute.

The game was then balanced and Chelsea looked like they will be dealing with Arsenal for scoring first but surprisingly, in the 27th minute it was Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith-Rowe who combined well to get the Gunners ahead once again by going 1-2.

At this point, it was just in the first half and Chelsea appears to be sleeping still because a team like Arsenal should not cause an upset at the Bridge like that.

When it was the 32nd minute, there was a comeback for Chelsea, and thanks to the captain Cesar Azpilicueta who got the goal to level up with an assist coming from Mason Mount after capitalizing on Arsenal Ben White’s poor defending.

The two London teams went into the break with 2-2.

Arsenal boss must have communicated something to his boys when they returned from the break because they did not relent in attacking Chelsea at all. After all, the pressure paid well when Chelsea defenders were forced to make mistaks that made the ball fall for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketia who has not stopped running against Chelsea’s defenders, and in the 57th minute, he got his second goal to put Arsenal ahead the third time.

Chelsea boss Tuchel now noticed something was not correct and he quickly made a change bringing Lukaku out for Kai Havertz in the 60th minute so that they can rectify the goal deficit.

Mikel Arteta also made a change 10th minutes later to counter the Chelsea attack that was already becoming dangerous, Gabriel Martinelli came in to replace Eddie Nketia.

Martinelli is known for his relentless runs against defenders and he came on to do just that which was almost causing another goal against Chelsea.

Emile Smith-Rowe was somehow becoming tired and his pressing was not good enough again and had to make way for Cedric Soares in the 75th minute.

Soares was able to balance defending and attaching through the right-wing causing problem along the line, he got into a dangerous area and made good crosses that were not capitalized on by the Arsenal forwards.

Arsenal wanted this the most at this point because the top four is their target now that they are seeing the possibility after losing it in their last three games.

The Gunners were able to seal the win in the 90 + 2 minute when Bukayo Saka was brought down in the box by Chelsea captain Azpilicueta and a penalty was awarded straight forward, the Arsenal star boy stepped forward to convert the kick to make 2-4 at the Bridge.

At this point, nobody can come out to say that Arsenal won by a fluke because it was who wanted it the most at the end of the day.
