It’s not a surprising choice by Ferdinand. Real dispatched Liverpool 6-2 on aggregate in the last 16 and the competition holders won’t relinquish their crown easily.
Chelsea are currently sitting tenth in the Premier League so they were always going to be classed as underdogs but their recent form will give their fans hope that they can pull off an upset.
The Blues face Real at the Bernabeu in the first leg on April 12th before the home fixture six days later. The key will be to stay in the tie out in Spain so they can give themselves a chance of making it through at Stamford Bridge.
