Rihanna has returned to the music world, releasing ‘Lift Me Up’ for the latest ‘Black Panther’ film, her first solo release in roughly 6 years.

While it’s not a dance tune, as many fans thought, RiRi harmonises over a mellow pace… before saying in the chorus, “Lift me up, hold me down, keep me near, safe and sound.”

As previously stated, the song will appear in the next Marvel sequel “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” It was also created as a homage to late ‘Black Panther’ actor Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2020.

The last time RiRi recorded music on her own was in 2016, with the “Anti” album.

During her time away from music, the singer has had a lot on her plate, including her fashion brand, Savage X Fenty, which debuted in 2018 and her beauty line, Fenty Beauty, which debuted the year before.

Of course, she just joined the mother club after giving birth to a son with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky.

Fortunately for her fans, we’ll be seeing a lot more of the legend in the near future… and the clock is ticking before she performs during the Super Bowl LVII halftime performance in February.
