Reece James responds as Rafael Leao drops big Chelsea transfer hint after World Cup breakthrough

Reece James, a Chelsea player, has replied to Rafael Leao’s recent transfer hints about a probable move to Stamford Bridge during the transfer window. It’s the latest development in the two’s blossoming bromance, which might lead to them being teammates in the near future.

The Portugal international was linked with a move in the summer, but it was too late in the transfer window for a deal to be completed. With his current club AC Milan’s contract expiring, his focus may shift to the future possibilities to sign a contract.

The 23-year-old has done nothing to quell speculation, with his superb performances continuing to draw notice.

In the Serie A he has put up ideal attacking output and earned a call-up to the Portugal World Cup squad, scoring two goals from limited game time.

It has only increased his value and he continues to drop hints over joining the Blues in the future. It started with James claiming he was one of the toughest wingers he has come up against, to which Leao replied: “My bro.”

The winger then went on to follow the official Chelsea TikTok account on his page, one of only a handful of accounts that he follows on the platform. He then continued his bromance with James, posting on his Instagram a happy birthday wish to the defender on his 23rd birthday.

James has already reacted, writing, “Thank you bro,” with the duo potentially reuniting on the football field if the transfer is approved.
