Real Madrid Ace Asensio Makes Dramatic U Turn On Future Amid United, Arsenal And Liverpool Transfer Links

Real Madrid have offered Marco Asensio a new contract, with the winger now seriously considering staying at the Bernabeu, according to Marca.

The Spanish international’s current deal expires at the end of the season and it was widely thought that the forward would leave at the end of the season, with Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle having all been mentioned as possible destinations.

Marca say that Asensio’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has been “approached” by “several” teams, although they don’t go into any specifics about which ones have been in contact.

The 27-year-old can already openly speak to foreign clubs, with his contract running down, but the player is currently not open for discussions.

Asensio is still keen on remaining with Real, although he is looking for guarantees about his playing time, having only started three league matches so far this campaign. More talks between the player and the La Liga champions are expected soon.
