‘Perhaps His Worst Ever Performance’ ‘Absolutely Terrible’ Fans Not Happy After United Star Misplaced 21 Passes Against Leeds

Manchester United midfielder Fred put in an awful performance during the 2-2 draw against Leeds on Wednesday evening.

The Brazilian international was caught in possession on too many occasions and misplaced a staggering 21 passes as he was asked to anchor the midfield.

Fans on Twitter were unsurprisingly scathing about Fred’s display in the Roses derby, with many perplexed by his inability to keep the ball:

It always seems to be one step forward and two steps back with Fred. His inconsistency can be infuriating and it’s not a surprise that manager Erik ten Hag has not trusted him to be a regular starter since his arrival at Old Trafford.

The 29-year-old has produced some great moments from the bench this season, and he seems to thrive alongside Casemiro in midfield, who can provide a bit of stability, but he can’t be trusted to hold the fort himself.

With Casemiro still sidelined due to suspension, it will be interesting to see what ten Hag does with Fred in the reverse fixture at Elland Road this weekend.
