Pastor Bolaji asks Spyro to play at the church’s Christmas Carol
Pastor Bolaji Idowu, the lead preacher of Harvesters International Christian Centre, has come under criticism for asking the famed Afrobeat artist Spyro to play at the church’s Christmas Carol.
On the 17th of December 2023, a Christmas Carol was staged at the Church’s branch in Lekki, Lagos, which prompted a surge of emotions.
Aside from Spyro, other superstars for this year’s Carol include Daniel Effiong, Bisola Ayeola, Dorathy Bachor, Sharon Ooja, Uzor Arukwe, Adeh Gbolahan, and Kenneth Ophopho, as seen on the flier.
The preacher revealed it on his Instagram page, writing, “Can’t wait for this!” It’s today, and it begins in less than an hour.”
Netizens have subsequently mocked Pastor Bolaji Idowu for attempting to blend secular customs with Christianity.
It should be noted that a Celestial Church recently welcomed the notorious street rapper Portable and Fuji singer Pasuma to their worship night.
Reactions Spyro is invited to sing in the church’s Christmas carol concert by the pastor.

This flier isn’t giving Harvesters a good image ngl, don’t get me wrong God loves everyone on this flier but I think it’s a unnecessary post.”
