Chelsea are expected to beat a number of clubs to the signature of Vasco da Gama midfielder Andrey Santos, according to reports in the French media.
Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Newcastle are also said to be interested in the teenager but the Blues are currently favourites to secure his services.
A fee of around €15m (£13m) will be needed to sign Santos, which is a sizeable figure considering he hasn’t even played in Brazil’s top tier. However, fans on Twitter are excited by the prospect of the young Brazilian moving to Stamford Bridge:

He’s like the less expensive version of Bellingham that offers more defensively from the comps I’ve watched🤷🏾♂️

Santos is said to be a box-to-box midfielder, and it appears to be an accurate description as he scored eight goals in 33 appearances for Vasco in Serie B last season, helping his side to promotion.
The 18-year-old is definitely one for the future, though and, if he does end up joining the Blues, there is a strong possibility that he will be loaned out.
