Official: Gabriel Jesus Finally announced by Arsenal

Arteta: The club did an excellent job in signing Jesus.

Arsenal has finally announced the purchase of Gabriel Jesus from Premier League rival Manchester City in a £45 million deal.

The club’s supporters have been waiting for the formal news for more than a week, and they will be relieved that it has finally arrived.

The necessity for a new centre forward was obvious after Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Alexander Lacazette departed the Emirates Stadium in the January and summer transfer windows, respectively.

And the Gunners have done an outstanding job in bringing in a player of the Brazilian’s calibre.

After the team presented their new number nine on Monday morning, Mikel Arteta was “extremely happy.”

“I’m really thrilled,” the Spaniard remarked on the Arsenal website. The club has done an outstanding job in bringing in a player of this calibre. I know Gabriel personally, and we all remember him from his time in the Premier League and his achievements here.”

“This is a position that’s been on our radar for a long time now, and we’ve managed to secure a player that we all wanted, so I’m extremely thrilled,” Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said.

Even before the exits of Aubameyang and Lacazette, the North London club intended to reinforce this position.
