According to Fabrizio Romano, Lucas Torreira has officially signed his contract as a new player for Galatasaray.
Since Mikel Arteta took over as manager of Arsenal, the midfielder has been surplus to requirements, and he has spent the previous two seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid and Fiorentina.
He was generally expected to join the latter on a permanent basis, but they were unable to reach an arrangement with Arsenal to retain him.

He returned to the Emirates for preseason, but he did not finish the season with the Gunners and went in search of a new team.
Despite reports linking him to a number of clubs, Galatasaray has finally agreed to sign him.
“Lucas Torreira inks deal as new Galatasaray player in Milano tonight,” Romano tweeted. The transaction was ultimately consummated.
