NORWICH VS CHELSEA ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE (EPL).

This match was played on the 10th of March, 2022 kick off was at 8:30pm which was played at Carrow road Norwich stadium. It is an English Premier League match, game- week 28 of season 2021/2022. This match is the second leg of match after the first league was hosted by Chelsea played at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea won the match with a 7 goal to nil for Norwich. Norwich with a formation of 3-5-2 and Chelsea with a formation of 3 – 4 – 2 – 1.

At the early beginning of the first half, Trevoh Chalobah scored a header in the 3’ minutes which puts Chelsea at an early lead.

In the 14’ minutes Mason Mount played powerfully past Tim Krul Norwich Keeper after a good pass from Kai Havertz, Norwich tried their very best and struggled to score Chelsea despite Chelsea’s intensity and fortunately for Chelsea the first half ended with a 2 goals lead for Chelsea.

Chelsea won a total of a seven corners in the first 45’ minutes, Christensen, left unmarked, headed a corner into the side-netting and Saul from the same side was denied by a Krul save. Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea manager advised his players with the quote “2-0 is always a difficult score line if you don’t score the next goal”.

As the second half of the match started, Norwich made two changes in the 46’ minute substituting out Mathias Normann and Joshua Sargent replacing them with Milot Rashica and Lukas Rupp respectively and Chelsea Ruben Loftus-Cheek came on for an ill-feeling Cesar Azpilicueta at the start of the second half.

Mount got the first shot of the second session, but Norwich responded with fresh vigor and aggression. Chelsea was being asked to defend, and their dangerous players were finally being placed in dangerous positions. Pierre Lees-Melou sent a cross into the six-yard box on 65 minutes, and the ball struck Chalobah’s arm.

After the ball broke to Pukki, Mendy made a great stop, but the official was sent to check at the screen and decided on a penalty for handball against our first goal scorer. Pukki scored in the other corner of Mendy’s dive. When Kenny McLean headed a free-kick back across goal, our goalkeeper made a save.

Kai, on the other hand, delivered the fatal blow.

This time, there was no mucking around as the German Kai Harvertz received a feed from substitute N’Golo Kante and smashed it into the top corner from 12 yards out.

This is goal from Kai Havertz in the 90’ minutes. The Blues had won four games in a row in the Premier League. We’re now 13 points behind the leaders with a game in hand, and we’re nine points ahead of fifth-placed Manchester United while in third.
