Nigerian wingbacks react to retirement of former Chelsea teammate Cahill
Nigerian wingbacks Victor Moses and Ola Aina have messaged Garry Cahill after the defender announced his retirement.
Cahill, a former Chelsea captain, announced his retirement from sport after 20 years of active service on Instagram.
Chelsea’s former England international was a revelation, winning eight trophies in seven years at Stamford Bridge.
Cahill was joined on the field by three Nigerian players: John Mikel Obi, Victor Moses, and Ola Aina.
Moses posted on Twitter : “Congratulations @GaryJCahill on a fantastic career! It was a pleasure playing with you mate”.
Reacting to Cahill’s Instagram post, Aina said : “Amazing career .All the best Gaz”.
Cahill was part of the all conquering Chelsea squad that won the 2012 UEFA Champions League alongside John Mikel Obi. He also won the UEFA Europa League crown with Mikel and Victor Moses in 2013.

Aina, who was still learning how to play his trade in senior football, featured three times for Chelsea in their 2016/2017 Premier League title winning season.
The 36-year-old Chelsea legend also represented Crystal Palace, AFC Bournemouth, Bolton Wanderers and Aston Villa.
