Nigerian musicians Rema and Oxlade have lately been under fire from social media users for their tributes to late colleague Oladimeji Aloba, often known as Mohbad.
According to reports, Mohbad died in a questionable manner on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, and was buried in the Lagos State neighborhood of Ikorodu.
Rema took to Instagram on Sunday to share a photo of the late 27-year-old with a statement expressing his disappointment at not seeing the latter’s message.

“No one deserves to go like this. I’m hurt I never saw your DM. You wrote “Peace of mind” was your favourite song. Now it’s too late to write you back. God’s angels be with you, Rest well King,” Rema wrote.
Oxlade also provided a snapshot of the messages Mohbad sent to him in a now-deleted Instagram story, indicating that the latter’s account was limited.
In response, neitziens voiced displeasure while calling out the musicians for disregarding the late singer’s messages while he was alive but then sending pretentious tributes to him after his death.
Following the reaction, Oxlade tweeted a snapshot of chats with the late singer.
