Mykhaylo Mudryk makes major Arsenal admission and praises Mikel Arteta style amid transfer links
Arsenal have been extensively linked with a move for Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Mykhaylo Mudryk, who has now spoken out against the Premier League leaders.
In a recent interview with Oleksandr Zinchenko’s wife, Arsenal transfer target Mykhaylo Mudryk talked out about the Gunners.
Mudryk is one of Europe’s hottest prospects right now, having shone for Shakhtar Donetsk this season, contributing 16 goals in 16 games across all competitions. Mudryk’s projected transfer to Arsenal has become a running gag in the Shakhtar Donetsk locker room, according to goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin following the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old has been compared to Neymar, Vinicius Junior, and Kylian Mbappe, with Shakhtar reportedly asking £80 million for their gifted winger and the Gunners reportedly intrigued.
The teenager looks to be open to a move to Arsenal, who need more depth in their wide areas and are looking to add additional players in the January transfer window.
Mudryk discussed his enthusiasm for Arsenal’s style of play and how he keeps up with their results in a YouTube interview with Vlada Zinchenko. When asked which clubs he feels are playing good football this season, the 21-year-old said, “Napoli, they’re playing extremely well right now with some fantastic players, Bayern, Man City, and Arsenal.”

He then admitted to checking the Gunners’ results on a frequent basis, stating, “Yeah. I keep an eye on them in’myscore,’ and I know when they’re playing.
“I also keep an eye on them. (Arsenal are) a highly dynamic team, not only in terms of possession but also in terms of scoring goals.”
His remark suggested that he admires Mikel Arteta’s style of play at the Emirates Stadium and that he could see himself playing for Arsenal in the future.
Technical director Edu is thought to be scouting a number of wingers to add competition for the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Emile Smith Rowe upon his return from injury, which will strengthen Arsenal’s attack for the second half of the season as they compete for the Premier League title with Manchester City.
