Mount suspends contract talks with Chelsea
Chelsea will postpone contract negotiations with Mason Mount until after the World Cup.
The Athletic said that a breakthrough in negotiations had occurred, and that the innovative number 10 was set to sign a new contract in the coming weeks.
However, the Evening Standard has stated that Mount will not be renewing any time soon.
While he wants to stay at Chelsea and is set to sign, he wants to concentrate on the World Cup with England.
Todd Boehly, co-owner of Chelsea, is anxious to sign Mount and other youthful players at the Stamford Bridge stadium club.
Mount, according to Boehly, does not get a wage commensurate with his contributions to the squad.
