Samklef, a Nigerian music producer and performer, has stated that concert organisers had decided to cancel Naira Marley’s appearance at events due to his claimed participation in the death of his former signee, Mohbad.
According to reports, Nigerians have accused Naira Marley and his colleague Sam Larry of being complicit in Mohbad’s death following footage demonstrating how the dead was ridiculed and harassed before his death.
In a video posted online, Samklef stated that justice has begun in the matter of Mohbad’s death, since Naira Marley’s appearances on all shows have been canceled.
He further stated that the show’s producers promised to contact lawmakers to prevent them from hiring the ‘Yahoo Boy’ singer.
Samklef stated that petitions would be sent to all embassies, and that the films published online imply that Naira Marley was engaged in the deceased’s death.
Meanwhile, Mohbad’s management has demanded justice for the artist’s untimely death.
According to sources, the singer’s management, who just acknowledged his death in a message on his Instagram and X pages on Saturday, has stated that they are willing to cooperate with authorities investigating the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
The singer’s management also disclosed that he was in court to reclaim the majority of his songs and owed royalties, which Marlian Music had unjustly kept.
They also expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from the general public after the terrible tragedy.
