Marseille are weighing up a potential loan bid for Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira ahead of the January transfer window
The Gunners have yet to make a decision on the Portuguese international’s future, but it is revealing that the club has not to entirely rule out the possibility, despite a lack of choices in the centre of the park.
When asked if Vieira should be loaned out, the majority of supporters on X were strongly opposed:
No, loaning him in January will be a big mistake.

Nope I don’t think so, Arteta just have to believe him more than Kai

No he must stay

Hell no!! Juts give him more play time lol
I myself disliked him last season. But he has stepped it up a lot this season 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼— Manny Ramirez (@mannyramz12) November 20, 2023
Nope, he can develop here. What I’ve seen from him is great. He has a place in the squad and he will help the team push forward. He’s provided some good moments for the gunners. If Odegaard gets injured it is him who fills the boots.

He is the only creative player left in our midfield, the team is already thin 😳🤔

Fabio has struggled to nail down a place in Arsenal’s starting eleven
Much was anticipated of the 23-year-old when he joined from Porto in the summer of 2022 for £34 million, but he failed to make an impact in his debut season at the Emirates.
Vieira made three Premier League starts and finished the season with two goals and six assists in all competitions. In his second season with the Gunners, things have improved significantly, but he has only started three games since August.
The fact that he played the whole 90 minutes for the Under 21s in the EFL Trophy last week to keep fit sums up the midfielder’s lack of playing time.
The Gunners May be targeting a replacement
While Arsenal’s interest in Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz has been connected to Thomas Partey’s possible exit, it might also be tied to Vieira.
Luiz’s approach is perhaps more similar to Vieira’s than Partey’s, having already scored six goals and contributed two assists for Villa this season.
