Marcelo Bielsa sacked by Leeds United after defeat to Tottenham

It is not something strange this days in the world of football most especially in the EPL to sack under performing coach or manager.

The most recent in the Leeds United manager, the person of Marcelo Bielsa who was sacked on February 27, 2022 mainly because of poor run in the EPL. He was sacked after the match against Tottenham Hotspur Football Club as he was defeated 4-0.

Marcelo joined Leeds in 2018 and brought them back to the Premier League after 16-year of absence two years later, as well as a 19th placed finish in the top flight in 2020/21, but he leaves with the club only two points above the relegation zone and on a run of five defeats from six games, a run during which they have conceded 17 goals.

Andrea Radrizzani is the Leeds chairman and he said sacking Bielsa was a very tough decision to make during his time at the club, but went further to say he believed the change had to be made in order to escape relegation.

There were lots of reaction from some fans on social media about the sack, some of them seems not to be happy because they appreciate the good days in the past.

Arsenal defender, the person of Ben White is another person that condemned the sack of Marcelo Bielsa.
