Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Face Sheffield United
Manchester United will be looking for three points when they face bottom-of-the-table Sheffield United this weekend.
The Blades have only drawn one of their eight games so far this season, and Ten Hag’s team will be firm favourites to win at Bramall Lane.
Despite his gaffes, Onana is set to start in goal for the Red Devils on Saturday. However, the Cameroon international will need to improve on his current form if he is to remain in the starting lineup.
S. Reguilon has returned to full training following a hamstring injury and is scheduled to start on the left side of defence, with D. Dalot taking his place on the opposite flank.
Raphael Varane has also returned to the squad, and the Frenchman is set to be recalled. Victor Lindelof, who was used as an auxiliary fullback against Brentford last time out, is expected to play beside him at centre-half. Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans are expected to be benched.
In midfield, manager Erik ten Hag must make some judgements. Scott McTominay’s brace against Brentford should earn him a starting berth, maybe alongside Sofyan Ambrabat, who trained on Thursday following an injury scare on international duty. Casemiro is sidelined with an ankle injury suffered while playing for Brazil.
Mason Mount might start at no.10, with Bruno Fernandes returning to the right wing. Rasmus Hojlund will lead the line, with Marcus Rashford, who scored for England in midweek, on the left wing.
