Manchester United’s Predicted Starting XI Against Crystal Palace

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag would have been pleased with his team’s performance in the Carabao Cup win against Crystal Palace in midweek.

Despite a lot of changes, the Red Devils made short work of their opponents, and United supporters will be hoping for a similar outcome when the two teams meet again in the league at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Andre Onana will start in goal for United, with Diogo Dalot and Sergio Reguilon anticipated to be named in the two fullback spots. That latter was unable to play in the cup match on Tuesday owing to sickness, but he should have had ample time to heal fully.

Lisandro Martinez has been sidelined due to a foot issue. The Argentine international, on the other hand, is set to be back in contention for the weekend.

He might play in the centre of defence with Raphael Varane, with Harry Maguire sliding to the bench.

Ten Hag must make some difficult decisions in midfield. Mason Mount excelled in his 45-minute cameo against Palace, but so did Sofyan Amrabat and Hannibal Mejbri.

The latter two might play with Casemiro in the centre of the field, allowing Mount to come on as a replacement and make an impact if needed.

Ten Hag will also have to make a decision up front after both Alejandro Garnacho and Anthony Martial scored in the last game. However, the manager may choose to start Rasmus Hojlund in the centre, with Marcus Rashford on the left wing and captain Bruno Fernandes on the right.
