Manchester United wants to complete a deal for Adrien Rabiot as Frankie De Jong
Manchester United are allegedly “working on a deal” to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
Rabiot, 27, is in the final year of his contract with Juventus and is a “leading possibility” to reinforce United’s midfield, according to the Athletic.
United are also maintaining their long-running pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
According to reports, they must now decide whether to try to gain Rabiot’s signature as soon as possible or to wait and see how things progress with De Jong before making a decision.

The report comes only days after it was announced that United is interested in Bologna attacker Marko Arnautovic.
Rabiot came in as a substitute for Juventus in their last preseason game against Atletico Madrid.
The France international began his career at PSG before joining Juventus in 2019.
United have signed Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, and Lisandro Martinez thus far this summer.
However, following a Premier League opening-day loss to Brighton, new manager Erik ten Hag said he had a “hell of a task.”
Barcelona president Joan Laporta stated over the weekend that despite pay concerns, De Jong remains committed to the club.
“Frenkie is our player, and we want him to stay at Barcelona, and he wants to stay,” Laporta said.
“We have a really strong midfield with him and his teammates.” He has offers, but we prefer that he stay.”
De Jong is one of Barcelona’s highest-paid players and may have to accept a wage reduction to stay.
