Manchester United vs. Sevilla: Match Preview And Injury News

Manchester United are set to take on Sevilla in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-final tie. Can the Red Devils progress to the next round with a win?

United have something of an injury crisis on their hands ahead of their second leg against Sevilla. Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Phil Jones, Tom Heaton, Raphael Varane, Donny Van De Beek and Lisandro Martinez have all been ruled out ahead of the game.

On top of this, there are a number of injury doubts, including Scott McTominay, Luke Shaw, Marcel Sabitzer and Tyrell Malacia. With so many injury concerns, the Red Devils may be forced to give some of their youngsters a chance.

In their last competitive fixture, United defeated Nottingham Forest at the City Ground by a score of 2-0. Antony opened the scoring on the 32nd minute, before a strike from Diogo Dalot in the second half sealed the deal.

Meanwhile, Sevilla also won by a score of 2-0 in their last game, as they beat Valencia away from home. After a goalless first half, Loïc Badé and Suso both struck to give Los Nervionenses the win.

During the first leg of the match, United opened strongly, going 2-0 up thanks to a brace from Marcel Sabitzer. However, they failed to capitalise on their lead – own goals from Malacia and Harry Magure levelled the scores, meaning United have plenty of work to do in the second leg.
