Manchester United Superstar Celebrates New Contract With Instagram Post

Manchester United fan-favourite Luke Shaw celebrated signing a new long-term contract at the Red Devils with a post on Instagram.

Shaw’s new contract will last until June 2027 – as such, the former Southampton man will remain under contract at the club for another four and a half years.

For the post’s caption, Shaw wrote: “So grateful to be extending my stay at @manchesterunited! I’ve been here for nine years and it’s my home. I want to achieve a lot more and I want it to be with this team.”

Currently, Shaw’s post has over 200,000 likes on Instagram. It has been liked by a smattering of his United teammates, including Lisandro Martinez, Diogo Dalot and David De Gea. Several of Shaw’s England teammates gave it a like too, such as Declan Rice, Ben Chilwell and Liverpool transfer target Mason Mount.

Shaw has been outstanding this season for Manchester United – he completely deserves his new deal with the club. So far, the 27-year-old has notched up six assists this campaign in all competitions, alongside a solitary goal.

On his new deal, Shaw said: “Nine years ago, I signed for this amazing club, and I’m thrilled to be extending my stay. I’ve grown immensely since coming to Manchester all those years ago, both as a person and as a player; I know what is needed to succeed at a club like this.

“We’re at the beginning of our journey under the manager and his coaching staff. We’ve been successful already this season, but we want much more. There’s a great opportunity to create something special here, and I’m going to give everything to be part of that.”
