Manchester City vs Arsenal match: Team news, head to head, how to watch Premier League match on TV

Manchester City host Arsenal in a game that could decide the outcome of the 2022/23 Premier League title race.

Arsenal are currently five points ahead of their opponents, but Man City have played two fewer matches heading into the game. The Gunners have dropped points in each of their last three matches, meaning they will have to win this match to stay in control of their fate.

Pep Guardiola’s side are on a brilliant run of form as they are now favourites to win the league. They are also in the final of the FA Cup and semifinal of the Champions League as they chase a second treble under the Spaniard’s management.

What’s the team news?

City have a doubt over in-form defender Nathan Ake but, after Phil Foden’s return at the weekend, they otherwise have a clean bill of health.

Arsenal’s defender William Saliba’s recent absence due to a back injury has proven to be a massive blow, with the Frenchman not expected back in time for Wednesday. Granit Xhaka is also doubtful due to illness.

Arsenal have lost their last seven meetings with City in all competitions and have not won at Manchester City in the league since 2015.

Manchester City have beaten Arsenal twice this season, 1-0 in the FA Cup fourth round and 3-1 in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium in February.

What TV channel is Man City vs Arsenal on?

Arsenal’s recent run of form has put them into a difficult position ahead of this fxiture. There will be a lot of pressure on the young side to perform against a team they have not beaten in the league since 2015.

On the other hand, a win for the Citizens could prove too damaging for the Gunners to recover from. It would move City two points behind Arsenal with two games in hand. Guardiola’s side will be hoping for at least a draw in this match, but are certainly the stronger side.
