Liverpool ‘Willing To Pay Up To £30M’ To Sign 11 Cap International As They Seek Second Midfielder After Endo

Liverpool could follow up the signing of Wataru Endo with a move for Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch, according to The Secret Scout.

The Reds are known to be interested in recruiting the Dutchman, who has been capped 11 times by his country, and the Secret Scout claims Jurgen Klopp’s side could be “willing to pay up to £30m” in order to secure the player’s services:

A number of other sources have suggested that Gravenberch is on the Reds’ shortlist of targets, but the main issue has been persuading Bayern to sell the midfielder.

The Secret Scout claims that the Bundesliga champions are now “open” to doing business but we shall have to wait and see whether there is any truth to those remarks.

Gravenberch may prioritize a move elsewhere

While Liverpool seem very interested in signing the 21-year-old, the player himself could have other plans. It was reported in the French media earlier this week that Gravenberch is leaning towards joining Manchester United so he can link up with his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag.

The Red Devils have enquired about the Netherlands international’s availability, along with Liverpool, so there is a chance that the Reds could miss out on another midfield target.

Liverpool are considering alternatives

Understandably, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive following the Reds’ failure to land either Moises Caicedo or Romeo Lavia. In addition to Gravenberch, the likes of Fulham’s Joao Palhinha and Crystal Palace’s Cheick Doucoure have been mentioned as options.

Reviving moves for Nice’s Khephren Thuram and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone could also be considered. The arrival of Endo does take the pressure off the recruitment department but fans won’t be happy if the Japan captain is the only signing before the transfer window closes.
