Lionel Messi Could Help Arsenal Land £48M Spanish Ace This Summer

Arsenal are keeping tabs on Ferran Torres’s situation at Barcelona, according to TalkSPORT.

The La Liga club may need to free up funds to finance the return of Lionel Messi to the Camp Nou and Torres could be one of the players sacrificed.

The Spanish international moved to Barca from Manchester City for an initial €55m (£48m) in January last year but he is not a regular starter.

So far this campaign, Torres has been named in the starting lineup on just thirteen occasions in the league, so there is a chance that his club would be open to selling him this summer.

The Gunners are not believed to be the only team interested in the player, with TalkSPORT reporting that Aston Villa are also “tracking” Torres.

However, you would have to think that, with Champions League football next season, a switch to the Emirates would be seen as more attractive.
