Chelsea finished third last season, 36 points ahead of Leeds, yet the two teams have started the current Premier League season identically. Leeds were battling for their survival at the conclusion of last season when the two teams met, but Chelsea ran riot at Elland Road after Dan James was sent off in the first half.
Last weekend, Liam Cooper, Adam Forshaw, Daniel James, and Luis Sinisterra returned to the squad, but Marsch stayed with the lineup that defeated Wolves on the first day of the season. Patrick Bamford might return for the Whites this weekend, depending on who the head coach decides to replace.

Leeds United defeat Chelsea 3-0 at Elland Road in a dramatic contest. Despite Chelsea began the game positively, with Sterling having a goal called out for offside early on, Leeds led 2-0 at the interval thanks to Aaronson and Rodrigo.
Harrison added a third goal to seal the victory. Chelsea’s woes worsened on 84 minutes, when Koulibaly was awarded a second yellow card and subsequently sent off for a flagrant foul, leaving the visitors with 10-men.
