Alice Iyabo Ojo, a prominent Nollywood actress, has said that she will organize a peaceful demonstration in Lagos in response to the murder of Nigerian artist Promise Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
According to reports, Mohbad, popularly known as Imole, died last Tuesday at the age of 27 and was buried the next day amid controversy.
Iyabo Ojo, who took to Instagram live on Monday morning, said letters will be submitted to respected offices and international entities about their planned demonstration in Lagos to seek justice for Mohbad’s killing.
She urged young people, parents, and concerned Nigerians to join the demonstration on Tuesday or Wednesday in order to obtain justice for the late artist.
According to rumors, Mohbad was a former Marlian Music signee. The circumstances surrounding his death have sparked debate both on and off social media.
The Lagos state police command has just launched an inquiry into Mohbad’s death, and over 250,000 individuals have asked for the closure of Naira Marley’s music company, Marlian Music.
