Inter Milan vs. Bayern Munich result: Leroy Sane Scored 2 goals as Bayern win at San Siro in Champions League
Bayern Munich weren’t flawless, but it’s points, not perfection, that the Germans will be looking for as they try to navigate the Group of Death.
And points they got, three of them, after a 2-0 win against Inter at the San Siro to start Group C play.
A Leroy Sane goal in the first half put Bayern Munich up before the interval, and they extended their lead just beyond the hour mark thanks to a brilliant connection between Sane and Kingsley Coman that culminated in an Inter own goal.

That was enough to see the game through, with Inter pressing for a goal early in the second half but tiring by the time Bayern scored their second. Inter’s performance was summed up by Joaquin Correa, who came in just minutes earlier and had a wonderful opportunity to find a late consolation, but he dragged an attempt wide of Manuel Neuer’s goal.
It’s a pleasing result for Bayern to put two consecutive Bundesliga draws behind them, while Inter’s agony is compounded by their defeat in the Milan derby over the weekend. Inter’s fill-in goalkeeper Andre Onana was a bright light, although his good performance in net adds little to the overall Inter effort.
