“If They Get The Chance…” Tony Adams Controversially Backs Liverpool To Sell Star Player This Summer

Arsenal legend Tony Adams believes Liverpool should consider selling Trent Alexander-Arnold at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old has been in very poor form this campaign and Adams says it may be time to dispense with the services of the defender:

“They have a real problem at right-back, which has been going on for far too long, and they should try to move Trent Alexander-Arnold on if they get the chance.”

Let’s make one thing clear. Alexander-Arnold will not be leaving Anfield this summer, despite Adams’ remarks. He has been a shadow of his former self in recent months but every player goes through these difficult periods in their career.

It shouldn’t be forgotten Alexander-Arnold has played in THREE Champions League finals, winning one of them, while he has also been part of a Liverpool team that has secured multiple other trophies.

Of course, the fullback can’t live off past achievements and, if he is to be a regular starter going forward, he will need to improve on the form he has shown over the course of this season.
