“I Don’t See Any Issues…” Journalist Believes Arsenal Are Closing In On New Deal With 21 Year Old Winger

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is likely to extend his contract with the Gunners, according to journalist Paul Brown.

There have been concerns raised about the length of time it has taken for the London club to find an agreement with the 21-year-old over a new deal but Brown believes the player is fully committed to remaining at the Emirates:

“I don’t see any issues, really, with Saka’s future at Arsenal. He loves the club. He owes them quite a lot because he’s developed so well there. I understand he thinks it feels like home. I think he appreciates what the club have done for him, and I don’t really see there being a problem.”

It is believed that Saka has been asking for a pay rise that would treble his wages, prompting speculation that teams such as Real Madrid, Manchester City or Liverpool could swoop in and exploit the situation.

However, considering he is one of the club’s best players, you wouldn’t expect Saka’s reported salary demands to be an issue. He wants to be rewarded in line with his value to the team, which is only fair.

Saka’s current deal runs out in just over eighteen months’ time so Arsenal will be keen to press ahead with negotiations after the World Cup.
