“I Can Rule That Out…” Chelsea Dealt Another Blow As 42 Year Old Says He Won’t Move To Stamford Bridge

Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche says he won’t be joining Chelsea’s recruitment team.

The 42-year-old has been mentioned as a potential option, along with Monaco’s Paul Mitchell, as the Blues look to add more experience in their transfer department but, when asked about the speculation, Krosche replied:

“I can rule that out, yes.”

While Paul Winstanley and Lawrence Stewart were named as the club’s co-sporting directors at the start of February, there have been rumours in recent days that someone could be hired to oversee the sale of players who are deemed surplus to requirements.

Mitchell was suggested, due to his connections with Mauricio Pochettino, although reports have since dismissed the links to Monaco’s Director of Football. It also appears Krosche won’t be making the move to Stamford Bridge.

The main focus for the club at the moment, though, has to be on hiring a new permanent head coach and Pochettino remains the firm favourite for the job.
