Gary Neville issues his top four verdict as he reveals where he thinks Manchester United will finish despite their recent defeat

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville is still adamant that Manchester United will finish above Arsenal despite their defeat at the Emirates at the weekend.

The Gunners are eleven points above the Red Devils with a game in hand but, despite admitting that Erik ten Hag’s team were second-best on Sunday, Neville says he won’t be changing his predictions:

“Arsenal were far better than Manchester United yesterday [Sunday], I’ve got no complaints whatsoever. But I’m going to stick to my predictions, you can be wrong with predictions.”

Neville believes United’s rivals Manchester City will end up winning the title, with United in second, Arsenal in third and Tottenham taking the final Champions League spot.

There is no room for Newcastle who currently sit third in the table, while Chelsea and Liverpool were not even considered after their highly publicised struggles this campaign.

In terms of United, they did go toe-to-toe with Arsenal away from home, and you also have to consider that ten Hag’s men had a midweek game while their opponents had a full week’s preparation. While most fans may still not agree that they will finish above their rivals, due to the sizeable gap between the two teams, the Red Devils are clearly going in the right direction.
