In the middle of the difficulties surrounding the death of a prominent musician, Mohbad, the Elegushi Royal Family denies any association with the socialite, Sam Larry.
This follows the unearthing of a plea for life protection submitted by the late Mohbad after being mistreated by Sam Larry during a video shoot.

In response to the outrage over the socialite and his supposed ties to the Elegushi, the monarch’s family issued a statement distancing themselves from him.
His allegiance to the monarch, whether as a family or as a worker, is deemed fraudulent, as it is with any celebrity who has stepped foot in the Elegushi palace.
“Sam Larry; Samson Balogun is not a member of the royal family and does not work for the royal family or king in any capacity. Like other celebrities, politicians, religious and community leaders, he visits the palace to pay homage to the king and seek royal blessings just like other members of the public,” the statement reads in part.
