EPL: Ronaldo wants Man Utd to sack him – Carragher
Jamie Carragher, a former Liverpool defender, claims Cristiano Ronaldo wants Manchester United to fire him.
This was mentioned by Carragher when chatting with Sky Sports regarding Ronaldo’s explosive conversation with Piers Morgan.
The 37-year-old accused United of betraying him and stated that he will never respect manager Erik ten Hag.
Carragher said: “He wants to be sacked, that’s obvious.

“He told the club in the summer that he wanted to leave. There were no takers, maybe because of his wages or the price Man Utd wanted.
“I think he knows that’s going to be the same in this next transfer window and he is now trying to be sacked or wants to leave on a free.”
Ronaldo’s current contract with United expires in June 2023.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner returned to Old Trafford in the summer of 2021 and finished as the club’s top scorer with 24 goals.
He will now fly out to Qatar with Portugal for his fifth appearance at the World Cup.
