Davido Instigates Reactions With Remark About COP28 In Dubai, Amid Outrage Over Tinubu’s 1,411 Delegates

David Adeleke, also known as Davido, a Nigerian Afrobeat singer, has sparked outrage online after making a remark regarding the Nigerian delegate list to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai.

According to reports, this comes after many Nigerians questioned President Bola Tinubu’s government over the inclusion of media personality Toke Makinwa on the roster of Nigerian delegates at the conference.

Similarly, there has been internet outcry about the overburdened delegate list, with Nigeria having 1,411 people in Dubai, the third biggest number of any of the 120 countries engaged.

Davido observed in a post via X that it was rare for someone not to be allowed to upload images of himself in Dubai due to the ongoing discussion around COP28.

He wrote: “So person wey just really go flex for Dubai now on him own no fit post 😂😂 shit funny AF …. I love it.”
