David Ornstein Confirms Arsenal Have ‘Finalised’ Four And A Half Year Deal

Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli has agreed to sign a new four-and-a-half-year contract, according to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein.

The trusted journalist says the agreement is in the process of being “finalised” by the Gunners, with the Brazilian set to remain at the Emirates for the long term:

Martinelli is one of a number of players that Mikel Arteta’s side are trying to tie down to new deals. Bukayo Saka and William Saliba are also locked in talks over possible extensions but fans will be delighted to hear that they have managed to retain the services of someone who still has so much potential.

This season, Martinelli has scored seven goals in 19 league appearances; a return that has already surpassed his best total in one season for Arsenal. He will now be hoping to kick on and contribute as the Gunners look to secure their first title in nearly two decades.
