The gunners have done well in this summer transfer windows by bringing in players that matter to replace those that left the key areas at some point before the end of last season, a striker like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, that left for Barcelona for free in the January transfer windows was replaced with an EPL proven striker Gabriel Jesus.

There are others that came in in the midfield and defense also, Zinchenko, Fabio Viera, Marquinhos, and William Saliba that returned from loan.

Therefore, this successful transfer window has made Arsenal a stronger team than last season, looking at how well they performed in the pre-season games which make most fans more optimistic about the gunners in the season that wants to start today.

We know Crystal Palace is a tough team to play against since Patric Viera took over as their coach. Especially for Arsenal, to win against palace has been seriously difficult, Arsenal lost badly to Palace last season when they needed to win at all costs to make the top four spot, the game was an embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Arteta’s men.

Arsenal team at the moment will be very tough to score against this season because of the new pairing they have now, Gabriel and Saliba.

Team News

There are still injury issues keeping some of the gunners key players away from playing, Tomiyasu Takehiro, Kieran Tierney, Emile Smith Rowe and new signing Fabio Vieira.

Palace will be without Michael Olise (foot) and James McArthur (groyne), and will have to rely on Guaita in goal as new recruit Johnstone, as well as Jack Butland, are both out with thigh injuries.

Veteran defender James Tomkins is also expected to miss the game due to a calf injury.

Possible Line up

Arsenal will be tough tonight because they can’t seems to have forgotten the 3-0 defeat towards the end of last season and they will surely want to win this time, there will be goals from this match because in they scored 22 goals in the six pre-season matches they played and only conceded 5 goals.

Therefore, I predict 0-2 win for Arsenal this night.
