‘Could Be A Good Signing’ ‘He’s Not Good Enough For Arsenal’ Fans Discuss Potential Jesus Replacement

Arsenal are considering whether to table an offer for Barcelona forward Memphis Depay, according to reports in Italy.

The Netherlands international has been identified as having the right profile to replace the injured Gabriel Jesus, who is set to be out of action for three months after knee surgery.

Depay could be available relatively cheaply with his contract set to expire in the summer so he may be seen as a decent short-term solution. However, fans on Twitter are very much split on whether it would be a good move:

Other Premier League teams, including Depay’s former team Manchester United, have also been credited with an interest in the 28-year-old, so Arsenal will likely have some competition for the player’s signature.

Even so, the Dutchman may be tempted by a switch to the Emirates, where he could help spearhead their title challenge. We shall have to wait and see, though, whether Mikel Arteta’s side do make a formal bid for Depay in the coming weeks.
