Confirmed: Joao Cancelo left Manchester City to join Bayern Munich after Pep Guardiola bust-up

Cancelo is allegedly on his way to Bayern Munich after falling out with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

Last season, Cancelo was one of Guardiola’s most essential players, starting 36 of City’s 38 Premier League games.

In each of the last two seasons, the Portuguese has been chosen to the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.

Cancelo, on the other hand, has not started any of City’s previous three games.

Cancelo and Guardiola were embroiled in a training field brawl, according to the story.

Cancelo is said to have reacted furiously lately when he learned he would not be starting against Arsenal in the FA Cup.

Cancelo is alleged to have told City of Bayern Munich’s interest after threatening to leave the club.

City then agreed to an initial loan agreement with Bayern, who would have the option to acquire Cancelo at the end of the season for about £61 million.

Cancelo has made 98 Premier League appearances for City, scoring five goals and assisting on 11 others.
