Christian Eriksen has agreed to a three-year contract with Manchester United, according to sources.

According to ESPN, Christian Eriksen has decided to join Manchester United.

After a medical, the free agency midfielder is expected to sign a three-year contract.
Eriksen, 30, played for Brentford in the second part of last season, scoring once in 11 outings. He passed rejected the opportunity to re-sign with Brentford in order to transfer to Old Trafford.

Tottenham had also shown interest in Eriksen, but after manager Antonio Conte backed out of a deal, United swooped in.

Eriksen is likely to become Erik ten Hag’s second signing of the summer, following the purchase of Feyenoord’s Tyrell Malacia, a 22-year-old Dutch left-back.

Eriksen has made an incredible return since suffering a heart episode while playing for Denmark in the European Championship last summer.

His contract with Inter Milan expired in December 2021, and he joined Brentford as a free agent in January 2022.

 

He was vital in Brentford finishing 13th in the Premier League in their first season after promotion from the Championship, with his good play attracting interest from clubs all around Europe.
