Chelsea in the battle to sign €60m-rated Brazil international
The Blues sorely need midfield additions, especially with Jorginho and Kante’s contracts expiring. Both players will be free agents in the summer, and the Blues have yet to reach an agreement with either of them on a contract extension.
Chelsea will begin contract discussions with both players, and it remains to be seen how the scenario unfolds. Meanwhile, after failing to make a single game since joining the Blues in the summer, summer signing Denis Zakaria may attempt to end his loan arrangement in January.
The South American midfielder is well-established in the Premier League, and if the deal is approved, he could have an immediate impact at Stamford Bridge.
