Chelsea has signed Arsenal ace Omari Hutchinson after contract discussions with the Gunners fall down.

CHELSEA is said to have signed Arsenal youngster Omari Hutchinson.
According to rumours, Chelsea has bought Arsenal youngster Omari Hutchinson. Contract discussions between Arsenal and Hutchinson have broken down, and he will shortly be revealed as a Chelsea player.
After leaving Charlton, the 18-year-old joined the Arsenal academy in 2015. He is highly regarded by club officials and was an unused replacement for the first team on many occasions last season.

Hutchinson is yet to make his professional debut, although Mikel Arteta called him up to the team eight times last season. The offensive midfielder was a regular in the club’s youth teams, where he scored and assisted.

He appeared in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Ipswich earlier this month, but his time at the Emirates appears to be coming to an end. On Friday, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano tweeted that a deal had been reached and that an announcement was imminent.
Hutchinson joins another promising youngster, Zak Sturge, who joined the Blues earlier this week. “Chelsea have secured another star for the future,” Romano said.

“After the Zak Sturge deal, Chelsea will shortly announce the acquisition of Omari Hutchinson, who is due to depart Arsenal.” #CFC. Hutchinson will join Chelsea after talks with the #AFC on a new contract fell down.”

Hutchinson was poised to depart Arsenal on loan to a Championship club for the upcoming season, according to source in May. Chelsea, on the other hand, has taken advantage of the contract discussions breaking down and moved to sign the player on a permanent basis.

The departure will be a setback for Arteta, who has advocated for the usage of academy graduates since taking over as manager in December 2019. Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, and Eddie Nketiah are all first-team players who rose through the ranks.

Hutchinson will most likely start with Chelsea’s under-23 squad. At the young level, the left-footed ace developed a reputation as a great dribbler capable of beating his opponent and scoring from distance.
