AC Milan will table a loan offer for Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech, which includes a €15m (£13m) option to buy, according to reports in the Italian media.
The Moroccan international’s departure in the New Year looks very likely at the moment, with the Serie A champions seemingly the favourites for his signature.
However, if the Blues accepted this reported proposal from Milan, they would be making a loss of over £20m on Ziyech, who has spent two and a half years in London.
The 29-year-old cost €40m (around £33.2m at the time) when he arrived from Ajax and a big decision will have to be made on whether to sanction his departure.
Ziyech has looked impressive for Morocco at the World Cup, playing a key role in their shock win over Belgium at the weekend, but he has never managed to establish himself as a regular starter at Stamford Bridge, despite working under three different managers.
