Chelsea And Arsenal Got Bartered by Unexpected Teams in Their Last Match

No one would have expected both Chelsea and Arsenal to surfer defeat the way it turned out to be during the weekend and on Monday night because the two teams were surely playing well before stumbling badly against Brentford and Crystal Palace respectively.

Chelsea lost 1-4 to Brentford

Looking at Chelsea, they were coming into that game with so much confidence and they would definitely grab the whole three points as we were all expecting nothing less than that.

However, it was a different situation eventually as the first half of the match ended goalless. The fan was optimistic likewise the Blues, they mounted pressure during the first few minutes of the second half, and that eventually paid off when Antonio Rudiger struck from a long distance and scored a screamer to get the very first goal exactly 48 minutes of the game.

But Brentford struck back moments later through midfielder Vitaly Janelt.

Eriksen then put Brentford ahead with a fine finish from a low cross, continuing his good run after scoring for Denmark on his return to the Parken Stadium on Tuesday, where he nearly died of a heart attack during Euro 2020 last June.

Frank, who is also Danish, told reporters, “It’s an ongoing fairytale, and I’m really glad about that.”

Janet, who signed a new four-year contract with Brentford on Friday, scored his second with a lovely chip over Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy minutes later, before striker Yoann Wissa’s drilled effort rounded off a spectacular victory for the visitors.

Chelsea, who had not lost in the Premier League since mid-January, are still third, but have fallen behind leaders Manchester City and Liverpool, both of whom won on Saturday. Brentford has risen four spots out of the relegation zone to 14th position.

Arsenal was blasted 3-0 at Selhurst Park by Patrick Vieira’s side, who put in another lively and excellent performance, with Jean-Philippe Mateta, Jordan Ayew, and Wilfried Zaha all scoring to clinch a deserving victory.

Arsenal failed to overcome Tottenham Hotspur in fourth position as a result of the setback, and the two north London rivals are currently tied on points. Arsenal has played one fewer game than Antonio Conte’s side, but crucial players Kierney and Thomas Partey have both been ruled out.

“It’s time to face the criticism, hold up your hands and apologize because this performance was not good enough for this club,” Arteta added. “We’re humble enough to take criticism in stride. You’re not wallowing in self-pity because we lost players and a football game.

“Congratulations to Palace on their performance, but with the manner we competed, we made it hard for ourselves.” You must be physically fit and able to run before being granted permission to participate. We had a lot of ball inconsistency, which is unacceptable.

“The thing that annoyed me the most is that we didn’t have the presence or the calmness today to control the situation.” You are absent on certain days and consistently late. We couldn’t leave since they were on top of it and created a pleasant mood.”

Hopefully the two team will bounce back to wining ways in their next premier league match.
